Overview
Setlist ("we", "our", or "us") is a tool that helps you organize your Spotify music library by tempo (BPM). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information.
What We Access
When you connect your Spotify account, we request access to:
- Your playlists - To display and organize your music library
- Your email - For account identification only
- Playback control - To play songs within the app (requires Spotify Premium)
- Playlist modification - To create new playlists and add songs when you request it
What We Store
We store the following data on our servers:
- Your Spotify user ID and email - To identify your account
- Playlist metadata - Names, track counts, and song information from your playlists
- BPM data - Tempo information for songs you've accessed
- Authentication tokens - To maintain your Spotify connection (encrypted)
We do NOT store: Your music files, listening history, or any payment information.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to:
- Display your playlists and songs with BPM information
- Enable search and filtering by tempo
- Create and modify playlists when you request it
- Play music through Spotify's player
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.
Third-Party Services
Setlist uses the Spotify Web API and Web Playback SDK. Your use of Spotify features is also governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can disconnect your Spotify account and delete your data at any time by logging out. To request complete deletion of your data, contact us at hello@nickashley.dev.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure token storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
